This adapter secures the popular M40x Ball head onto the existing T3 optics (PRSTF) Tripods. It also has 2 holes for additional 1/4-20 accessories. The pictures above are also simple instructions to see how it works. The set screws lock and cut into the base of the ballhead.
If serious field use is intended, loctite is recommended.
